About the Musicians

Image - Bullfrog Willard McGhee wins at the 2009 Triangle Blues Society BLues Challenge. Th' Bullfrog Willard McGhee was the solo blues act champion of the TBS 2009 Blues Challenge. Playing traditional and Piedmont style blues he wows the audience with his smooth guitar licks and gravely voice. Originally from West Virginia he currently resides the Triangle (NC). In addition to his great music his is an excellent artist and even drew the fabulous poster for the TBS Nat Reese show.
Image - Hell Camino of Raleigh, NC. Hell Camino Hard driving, in-the-pocket, and rock solid, Hell Camino is a modern band with traditional roots and contemporary branches. The poise of a Motown mingles with the energy of Stax (and boils the brew with miles of chitlin' circuit tradition) to make the band's presence a forceful and electric presence. A cohesive unit both musically and socially, the band brings enthusiasm, innovation, and unerring professionalism to to the craft of making great road house music.

Image - bluesman Lil Dave. Lil' Dave Band   - Lil' Dave is every rocking blues lover's ideal act. He has the classic Fender blues tone. He hits on Albert Collins, Anson Funderburgh, Freddie King and of course, Stevie Ray Vaughn. He does all this with a groove and a sense of humor that will draw you in and keep you dancing. This is a kind of reunion show for Lil' Dave. Expect see some familiar faces from the old band and some new ones too!
Image - The Swamp Doctors of Raleigh, NC The Swamp Doctors  The Swamp Doctors have been around for several years now in one form or another playing original and cover blues. The current line up includes Daniel Anderson on lead and slide guitar, Tom Harris on drums, Derek Arnold on bass and "Reverend" Sam Stephens on vocals and guitar.
Image - The Josh Preslar Band of Raleigh, NC The Josh Preslar Band   Now in his 5th year of leading his own band Josh Preslar has put together a band with local Raleigh/Chapel Hill area blues veterans, to form a group that can do more than your standard blues and instead take you on a journey through swing, Motown, rock, funk and blues. Expect the blues and swing influences of T-Bone Walker, Otis Rush, Louis Jordan, and more..... along with the down home original North Carolina blues of singer songwriter Mike "Howlin Wind" Davis. Be ready to boogie down to the music that started it all, the blues, and keep it shaking to the music that the blues inspired.
Image - NC musician Robbie Reid.
Robbie Reid  Bluesman Robbie Reid's diversity and masterful talent have been on display all over the Southeast for more than a decade. He has been lead guitar for The Heaters, The Friction Brothers, The Famous Mojo Kings and Big Bertha.
Image - Blues musician Eric E-train Manning Eric E-Train Manning  (E-Train for short) is a songwriter living in Willow Spring, NC. Growing up he had a knack of making people laugh and playing guitar. He started writing songs seriously in college and discovered that people really liked his humor mixed into his songwriting. So mixing blues with elements of americana, country and humor, his songs are funny, pensive, thought provoking, and just fun to listen to.
Image - bluesman Jimmy Haggard of Raleigh, NC. Jimmy Haggard is an internationally acclaimed guitarist, singer, songwriter and musical artist based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. You'll hear a down-n-dirty Texas boogie, swear there was a Chicago blues shuffle slidin' through and feel like the Delta was in your backyard. Sometimes the music will feel like indie or jam band, with some grunge and hard rock tossed in, a little jazzy at times, and you will catch a sold groove that's right on time when the feeling hits you. You will even pick up a dash of country (what, you've never heard of country blues?) and earthy acoustic folk/rock.
