Hello Everyone!

Well another Blues Challenge has come and gone and boy what an event. 11 bands worked hard, played hard and gave us our most thrilling challenge yet. In the end we have TWO great acts representing us in Memphis, TN at the 2009 International Blues Challenge. Jon Shain and FJ Ventre in the Solo/Duo category and Valentino and the Piedmont Shieks in the Band category. A big thanks to our judges and the Blue Bayou for helping us stage yet another great event. 

We are going to be hard at work this year building relationships with venues and other organizations to help stage the kind of blues events you read about in other cities. We are going to be working hard with national blues acts and agencies to help bring in the kinds of acts you read about in magazines. But this takes times and planning so we what we will be working the most at is building the TBS into a strong and communicative organization. You cannot build a house before you lay the foundation.

So please stay in touch, get in touch, volunteer and best of all JOIN THE TBS. It costs only $20 a year and we will be working hard at making sure it pays you back many times more than that investment.
